Let Afari Gyan, Charlotte Osei vet your 2024 forms to avoid disqualification – Alan told

Alan Kyerematen, an independent running for president, has been instructed to have several consultations before submitting his candidacy paperwork to the Electoral Commission for the 2024 elections.

The former New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer candidate must hire the services of Dr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan and Mrs. Charlotte Osei, both former Electoral Commissioners, in order to thwart any attempt by the NPP to have him disqualified by the EC, according to Kwaku Owusu Banahene, a communicator for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“When it comes to the filing of his forms, he should let Dr. Afari Gyan fill them out for him, and when he is done, Charlotte Osei should do the proofreading. She should scrutinize the documents carefully before he goes ahead to submit it.

“Else, the Electoral Commissioner will disqualify Alan. I am telling you, and you can mark it down. That is the avenue the NPP will use to have Alan Kyerematen disqualified,” he stated on Peace FM’s morning show on Monday, October 2, 2023.

Banahene stated that Mr. Kyerematen, who just resigned from the NPP flagbearer race, will prove to be a challenge to the NPP because of his strong following and claims of unfair treatment of himself and his followers.

He continued by saying that the majority of existing lawmakers who would lose in the NPP’s parliamentary primary will take Mr. Kyerematen’s example and run as independents in the 2024 elections.
